🌡️ Extreme Heat Expected Across Almería – Stay Cool and Stay Safe

The hottest day of this week’s heatwave is expected on Thursday, with weather warnings now covering the whole province of Almería.

Orange alerts have been issued for inland areas including Valle del Almanzora, Los Vélez, Nacimiento and Campo de Tabernas, where temperatures could climb to an incredible 46°C in places such as Albox.

Meanwhile, Almería city, Levante and Poniente remain under yellow alerts, with temperatures expected to reach around 38°C.

There is also a risk of afternoon thunderstorms in parts of the Almanzora Valley and Los Vélez, with the possibility of hail and strong gusts of wind. Dust in the air may also affect visibility and air quality.

• 💧 Drink plenty of water throughout the day.
• 🏠 Stay indoors or in the shade during the hottest hours, especially between 1 pm and 9 pm.
• 👒 Wear light, loose-fitting clothing and a hat if you need to be outside.

• 👵 Check on elderly neighbours, young children and anyone who may be vulnerable.
• 🐶 Don’t forget your pets—ensure they have fresh water and avoid walking dogs on hot pavements.
