Vélez Blanco Weekly Market is held every Wednesday morning in this historic mountain town in the north of Almería province.
From around 9:00 AM until early afternoon, stalls are set up near the town centre offering fresh fruit and vegetables, clothing, household goods and regional produce. The market has a traditional feel and attracts residents from surrounding rural areas.
Vélez Blanco is best known for its impressive Renaissance castle, Castillo de los Fajardo, which overlooks the town and the surrounding countryside. The town’s whitewashed streets and mountain backdrop provide a scenic setting for a relaxed mid-week market visit.
Wednesday market day offers a chance to explore one of the most picturesque inland towns in Almería while supporting local traders and enjoying authentic Andalusian village life.
